Xylitol Content

1 piece of gum = 1g of xylitol
1 pocket pack of gum = 10g of xylitol (2 days worth)
1 case = 120g of xylitol (24 days worth)

Dentists recommend you have 5g of xylitol per day which is 5 pieces of gum.

Importantly, this must be spread out throughout the day, ideally after snacks and meals when there’s risk of acid attack.

We also make larger pack formats which offer better value as part of a daily oral health routine.

Product Info

We believe looking after your teeth should be a pleasure not a chore which is why we use fine English peppermint grown on a little farm in Hampshire to give our chewing gum our great, fresh taste.

We also believe in using high quality, sustainably sourced ingredients in the rest of our gum and steer clear of artificial sweeteners like aspartame. Our products are also sugar free and we only sweeten them with 100% GMO free, European sourced xylitol.

If that’s not enough we are also low calorie, low GI, gluten free and vegan friendly.

I discovered Peppersmith via my dentist who gave me a few sample packets of the peppermint gum to try to remedy acid attacks on my teeth post-fizzy drink consumption. Since then, I’ve been a big fan of the gum, the taste of peppermint isn’t too overpowering nor too subtle, rather, it tastes natural, high quality and fresh. The only draw back is the taste doesn’t last as long as your standard supermarket chewing gum, however that is hardly an issue when the gum ticks every other box. If you are after an alternative, I highly rate the Sicilian lemon mints – they taste great and still contain that lovely xylitol which makes me feel a little less guilty about what I eat and drink throughout the day! 5/5 RECOMMENDED

Beside all the great dental reasons the other huge advantage of this gum is that, it is VEGAN! It is also different. Manly strength wise. Compared to the super strong ‘normal’ chewing gums form the supermarkets – with aspartame in those – it tastes much milder first.
Becoming vegan I have tried other vegan gums, even ordered some from the US once, but always going back to peppersmith. If you want the strongest they have, choose the pepperminty one. You can also buy some in Holland & Barrett but cheaper online.
Now they have this cool tin can that you can purchase and fit 2 boxes of chewing gum in it.
The only disadvantage of this product is its packaging though. They sell in small paper packets, that is too bulky for the pocket, make rattling nose if you walk around with them, and falls apart, not invisible like other chewing gums in vacuum pack. Hope one day this will change too.
Otherwise, all is good and Please Guys, Do Not Buy The Aspartame based gums any more, you can do better with Peppersmith! Viva la Vegan!
