This week our Dan paid a visit to the House of Commons – not a regular occurrence as you can imagine. Despite the rain, the long queue to get in and the fact he wasn’t wearing socks (long story) he just about managed to turn up on time and almost presentable.

Ah the great British summer.

Smart dress code, heavy security and long queues. Very much like a Croydon nightclub.

The corridors of power
He was there for the Parliamentary launch of Keep Britain Tidy’s Love Where You Live campaign. We don’t want to spoil it as you’ll be hearing loads about it over the coming months, but essentially it’s a call to action for everyone (individuals, community groups, local authorities, little confectionery companies) to transform our communities by tackling the problem of litter together.
It really is a great initiative and we we’re very pleased to be asked along to meet up with the organisers and other like minded companies and groups who are getting involved. Watch this space for more about it soon.
Dan very much enjoyed his visit to Westminster and surprisingly only got in trouble once (using his mobile phone in the corridor), even resisting the temptation to ask Tony Benn for an autograph and a hug.
