There are lots of foods that are completely safe for people but can potentially be harmful for dogs, including grapes, chocolate, onions, macadamia nuts, garlic, avocadoes and xylitol (which we use in our gum).
Whilst it’s debatable whether it would actually cause your dog any problems our message is definitely; xylitol or no xylitol, it’s best not to feed your dog chewing gum.
If your dog accidentally eats chewing gum and you are concerned about it, we recommend you take him to the vet just in case.
