So it’s time we gave away some gum as a little thank you for dropping by our website from time to time. Two winners will each get sent a case* of gum and ten runners-up will get a couple of packs. All you have to do is answer this heavily loaded question…
We go on a bit about our fine English peppermint and our natural chicle but which of these ingredients (all widely used in mainstream chewing gum) do we choose not to use?
a) aspartame
b) titanium dioxide
c) polyisobutylene
d) acesulfame k
e) bovine gelatine
f) butylated hydroxytoluene and butylated hydroxyanisole
g) all of the above
Just pop your answer as a comment below and we’ll pick the winners at random next week.
*a case is 12 packs
Update (Thursday 4th March, 2010)

The lucky winners will be announced shortly
19 February 2010

We’ve been doing the rounds this week. First we went on a little tour of Korea with our friends Kristin and John.
Then today we were featured on The Huffington Post which apparently is a big deal in the USA. Ye ha. They were reposting this article from TreeHugger.
But back in the real world we’ve still spent all week yomping round the streets of London trying to find nice coffee shops and delis to stock our gum.
Our favourite new place this week is Taylor St Baristas. Our Dave was in there yesterday and came back to report he’d tasted the best flat white he’d ever had. He then had to explain to the rest of us what a flat white was. He didn’t do a great job but his enthusiasm alone made us want to try one. Whilst I’m sure they value Dave’s heartfelt endorsement they’re probably slightly happier about winning the Time Out award for best coffee in West London. Well done from all of us at Peppersmith.

We go around saying that Peppersmith is good for your teeth but how do we really know it is? Maybe we’re just making it up. Well to cut a long story short this is how we know…
We sent the people at the British Dental Health Foundation lots of samples and the ingredients we use. They then spent some time tasting and testing the gum before their panel of experts met and (while wearing lab coats and stroking their beards – probably) they all decided to accredit our gum, agreeing that Peppersmith…
…”is good for dental health”
…”helps reduce plaque”
…”reduces the risk of tooth decay”
Or in summary “chew Peppersmith gum for healthier teeth”. So now you know. Not our most interesting story but we can’t always be bumping into Damon Albarn or cuddling man-pandas.
Have a nice weekend and a very happy valentine’s day to all you young lovers out there.

Some of you have complained that our gum can only be found in London. Well not any more. We’ve spread our wings, flown the nest and can now be found all the way out in… Guildford. That’s right a full 10 miles outside of the M25. We’re in a very nice health food store called Food For Thought.
We were also very happy to find out that we made it into The Sunday Telegraphs magazines ‘Stella loves…’ section. It’s always nice to be loved.

And in other news our Dan had a bit of strange day out where he put on a cardigan, some smart trousers and had a cuddle with two men dressed as pandas. He’s never been so happy.
