This week we gave our gum to two music industry legends; Shaun Ryder and Damon Albarn. Ed bumped into them both while out and about in London. He was too shy to take a photo so to make up for it we made him recreate what Shaun Ryder may have looked like and so putting to good use his dodgy new c1990 indie haircut.

Shaun (aka Ed) is mad for his new gum. Bez (aka Dave) shakes his tangerine maracas with excitement.
In other slightly less rock ‘n’ roll news our Mike had the idea of using those random blank pieces of paper that separate our business cards to write thank you notes for our website orders. They work a treat and save wasting more paper. A tiny little thing but it made us happy.

Our natural gum is spreading across London faster than our Ed spreads A1 steak sauce across his crumpets. Here are some of our favourite new stockists, not just because they sell our gum, but because they’re all well worth a visit…
East London…
Poncho 8
If you like burritos this is the place for you. You may have to queue for a few minutes but it’s well worth the wait. Our favourite at the moment is the picante Barbacoa.
South London…
Our two favourite places in south London now stock Peppersmith.
Franklins on Lordship Lane - If you’ve been particularly good, visit the restaurant for some oysters and a glass of stout then some great British produce. The farm shop next door is filled with posh food and drink and now also our gum.
The Lido Cafe, Herne Hill - Daniel’s little oasis in Brockwell Park. Time Out said they make the best breakfasts in south London but we think the evening meals are even better.
West London…
Ginkgo, Ravenscourt Park
We love this garden shop and we don’t even have a garden. They’ve got a great vintage homeware shop and a lovely cafe now which sells Peppersmith.
Central London…
Covent Garden Market Place
Your one stop shop for amazing lunches. Sushi, pies, salads, pastries and even fine cheeses. Yes.
North London…
We’re going to be hitting North London next week so if you know any good places that you think should visit, please drop us an email or leave a comment.
You can see all the places that currently sell our gum here.

Our first bit of press coverage. The bit on the right about blue cheese isn't about us unfortuntely.
Another interesting week in our gum filled world. Yesterday we got our first bit of coverage in the papers with Charles Campion giving us a mention in the Evening Standard. And we’re also now stocked in plenty more shops. Lots of nice places but our Peppersmith stockist of the week is The Natural Kitchen on Marylebone High Street. This deli / shop / restaurant is full of so much nice food and drink it made us feel a bit dizzy. Pop in, be amazed and maybe even pick up a pack of Peppersmith while you’re there. Have a nice weekend everyone.

Ed in his new hat (left) and his sister Claire (right)
Ed’s sister Claire just popped round to our office and gave us some of her homemade cookies. They are so chocolatey we suspect they’re actually just slabs of chocolate cunningly disguised as cookies. Amazing – thanks Claire.

Two big things happened today. First up, Peppersmith is now officially out and on the shelves. We spoke to eight nice shopkeepers who are now selling it in their delis and cafes.
Second of all, Mike worked out how to add a handy Google map-type-thing showing all these outlets on our website. He’s clever like that. To see if there’s one near you just click here.

A well stocked shopkeeper at Cafe Bar, Mortlake. His headgear and his choice of chewing gum demonstrate his impecable taste.

Seeing as our gran has got a facebook page we thought we better have one too. We’ve already put up some photos and will be adding more stuff soon. We don’t have any fans yet (sob) so please come visit us and join up. At the end of the week we’ll be picking 10 fans at random and sending them each some gum to try.

Today was a monumental day for Peppersmith as our team doubled in size from two to a whopping four. We’d like to welcome Dave and Ed on board. Despite it being the first day at work after Christmas they managed to look keen, ready for action and well groomed (apart from Ed).
They’ll be helping us get Peppersmith on the shelves of as many shops as possible over the next few months so if you can think of any good places they should visit please drop them an email to ed@peppersmith.co.uk or dave@peppersmith.co.uk
